THESE UNITS, SUCH AS THE ONE DESIGNED BY RON'S RACING PRODUCTS, CAN BE BOLTED ON TO VIRTUALLY ANY ENGINE. IF IT WILL ACCEPT A STANDARD HOLLEY OR DOMINATOR-SIZE 4-BARREL, THIS PARTICULAR TYPE OF INJECTOR SYSTEM CAN BE INSTALLED WITH FEW OR NO MODIFICATIONS. BECAUSE FUEL INJECTION IS ELIMINATED, TYPICAL CARBURETOR PARTS SUCH AS ACCELERATOR PUMPS, FLOATS, POWER VALVES AND METERING PLATES, PROBLEMS ARE LESS LIKELY TO OCCUR. TYPICALLY, A FUEL-INJECTED ENGINE WILL MAKE MORE HORSEPOWER THAN ITS CARB-INDUCED COUNTERPART, WHICH IN TURN WILL HELP TO LOWER E.T.'S AT THE TRACK.

UNLIKE A TYPICAL CARBURETOR SET UP, WHICH GENERALLY USES A HIGH-VOLUME ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP, THE MECHANICAL FUEL INJECTOR USES A ROTARY-STYLE PUMP THAT IS BELT-DRIVEN OFF THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE.
